Greasy wool



Grease wool that is sheared from the sheep contains not only fibres, but also grease and sweat produced by animal’s grand and humidity. Grease and sweat that are called wool sweat are substances that protect the animal’s wool from weather conditions and solar radiation.
Animal wool is accompanied by all substances, that the animal comes in to contact with while breeding. These are:

  • sand,

  • dust,

  • plant parts,

  • seeds,

  • faeces,

  • urine,

  • sometimes small insects and their larva.

Based on the breed of sheep, sheep-run and plants, the ways of clearing- sorting the wool after shearing, before the bleaching we receive different amounts of substances accompanying the wool that are eliminated at the definite stages of the production process.

  1. Polish wool 28 mic, 55-65 mm,
  2. Polish wool above 30 mic,
  3. other types upon the request.
