What is the wool carding process like?
The wool carding process is the mechanical process where clumps of fibre are broken up, then seperate the individual fibres into a continuous line. Before the carder, the special cleaning machine removes small sand, vegetable dust and hay, and special rollers cooperating with another roller that knocks seeds and cones out. During the process matted fibres are broken up, and the shortest ones are removed. The rope after the carding should be stretched to make fibres more organized. Ropes are stretched once for use of the knitting shop.
